Luther Goins has his fingerprints all over the Chicago arts scene. Throughout his distinguished career he has been an award-winning playwright, a director, a theater producer, an artistic director, a board member helping to stabilize many of the areas Black Theater companies, the president of BACA (Black Arts and Culture Alliance) and a representative for the AEA (Actors Equity Association).
Raised in Newark, New Jersey, Luther’s journey into the arts brought him to Northwestern University for training, but his love and commitment to the arts scene made Chicago his permanent home.
