Black in China

Longtime company member E.J. Trey popped into the Greenhouse, back in Chicago on the briefest of holidays. For the past eight years, EJ has been living in China teaching middle-school and performing improv.

On the rarest of occasions, we coaxed EJ into the recording studio to get a taste of the source material that he has been adapting for the stage – BLACK IN CHINA.

Chicago pizza and a spirit or two served as an appetizer for a frank conversation on EJ’s adventures in dating, in a country where he barely spoke the language.

Black in China is a must listen.
