Moon Eat women Pecan Pie by Addae Moon premiered nearly 3 decades ago on the MPAACT mainstage, then went on to a lengthy touring schedule. Last year the show was resurrected in the audio multiverse. Sitting at the intersection of class struggles and Southern rhythms, the play is still resonant for audiences attuned to the interplay of such forces in the Black community. In this Backstage episode, members of the cast from the original production and podcast play come together to take a look at the cultural landscape of the play and it’s signature song: Come With Me, and the serendipity of theater.
