Red Summer Songbook Volume 7: Time Didn't Stand Still

By the time the Great War was over D. L. Winters and Connor Weir had been so transformed by their experiences in combat, that they found life at home difficult.

As our play opens, we watch these soldiers arrive home – welcomed as heroes.

With Time Didn’t Stand Still comes our first chance to see how our heroes are managing the stresses of civilian life now that the parades and cheers have waned.

More importantly, it is the first time in our drama that these characters are able to be vocal about their innermost feelings.

For Donald Lee and Connor, this simple song is their acknowledgement that they are adrift in a world that they no longer understand.Join us as our team of artists explore the nuances of this little ditty.
